File Setup & Artwork Preparation

Proper file setup and artwork preparation are essential for producing high-quality DTF transfers. Submitting print-ready files helps ensure accurate colors, clean edges, and fast turnaround without delays.

Please review the guidelines below before uploading your artwork.

Recommended File Formats

For best results, upload files in one of the following formats:

  • PNG (preferred)

  • PDF

  • AI

  • EPS

  • PSD

PNG files should always have a transparent background unless a background is intentionally part of the design.

Avoid low-quality or heavily compressed formats whenever possible.

Resolution & Sizing Requirements

  • 300 DPI minimum at final print size

  • Artwork must be sized exactly how you want it printed

  • Do not rely on resizing after upload

Low-resolution files may appear blurry or pixelated once printed.

Color Setup & Output

  • Files can be submitted in RGB or CMYK

  • RGB is recommended for brighter, more vibrant results

  • Full-color designs are supported — no color limits

Color appearance may vary slightly between screens and printed output due to display differences.

Transparent Backgrounds

  • Backgrounds must be transparent unless intentionally designed

  • Do NOT include white or colored background boxes

  • Transparency ensures clean edges when pressing

If your design includes a background element, make sure it is clearly intentional.

Text, Fonts & Small Details

To avoid printing issues:

  • Convert all text to outlines or shapes

  • Avoid thin lines smaller than 1.5 pt

  • Ensure small text is legible at final size

  • Avoid ultra-fine details that may not transfer cleanly

Bold, clean artwork produces the best DTF results.

Gang Sheet File Setup

When preparing a gang sheet file:

  • Match the exact size you are ordering

  • Use the full printable width

  • Leave at least 0.25” spacing between designs

  • Do not overlap artwork

  • Keep important details away from edges

Proper spacing makes cutting easier and prevents print issues.

File Clean-Up Checklist

Before uploading, confirm that:

  • ✔️ File size matches the selected product

  • ✔️ Resolution is 300 DPI

  • ✔️ Background is transparent (if required)

  • ✔️ Text is outlined

  • ✔️ No hidden layers, guides, or masks

  • ✔️ No unnecessary borders or empty margins

Files are printed exactly as uploaded, so final review is critical.

What We Print (And What We Don’t)

We print exactly what you upload, including:

  • Colors

  • Alignment

  • Spelling

We do not:

  • Resize artwork

  • Edit designs

Please upload final, approved artwork only.

Common File Preparation Mistakes

Avoid these common issues:

  • ❌ Low-resolution images

  • ❌ JPG files with compression artifacts

  • ❌ White backgrounds instead of transparency

  • ❌ Text not converted to outlines

  • ❌ Incorrect sizing

Fixing these before upload prevents delays.
