FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Clear answers about DTF transfers, gang sheets, file uploads, production time, and pressing for long-lasting results.
DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are full-color, heat-applied prints made by printing your artwork onto a special film, applying adhesive powder, curing it, and pressing it onto garments with a heat press. DTF supports fine details, gradients, and vibrant color without cutting or weeding. They work on cotton, polyester, blends, and more. When applied correctly, DTF transfers have a smooth, flexible finish that stretches with the garment and holds up through repeated wear and washing.
Upload is best when you already have a print-ready gang sheet file. You submit your layout and it prints exactly as provided. The gang sheet builder lets you place multiple designs on one sheet so you can mix sizes and layouts to maximize space and reduce cost. Both options use the same high-quality DTF printing—only the ordering and layout method changes.
Gang sheets are designed to let you fit multiple designs into one order. How many designs fit depends on each design’s size and how efficiently they’re arranged. Smaller designs fit more per sheet, and larger designs take up more space. You can mix different designs and sizes on the same gang sheet as long as everything fits within your selected sheet dimensions.
There is no minimum order. You can order a single transfer, one design, or a full gang sheet. This is great for testing new designs, making samples, replacing logos, or fulfilling small custom orders. Whether you need one print or a bulk run, every order is produced with the same quality and attention to detail.
A heat press is strongly recommended for best results. Home irons are not recommended because they don’t provide consistent heat and pressure. A clamshell or swing-away heat press works well. Consistent temperature, even pressure, and a flat platen help ensure strong adhesion and long-lasting durability. Using the wrong equipment can cause peeling, poor bonding, or uneven application.
Submit high-resolution, print-ready artwork. 300 DPI is strongly recommended. Transparent backgrounds produce the best results. Preferred formats include PNG and high-quality PDF files. Avoid screenshots and low-resolution files. Files are printed exactly as submitted, so please review sizing, spelling, color, and clarity before uploading.
Production time depends on order volume and file readiness. Print-ready uploads and correctly built gang sheets move fastest. As soon as your order ships, you’ll receive tracking so you can plan your pressing schedule with confidence.
DTF transfers are made to last when applied correctly. They stay flexible, stretch with the garment, and resist cracking or peeling. Proper heat, pressure, and peel method are key. For best longevity, wash garments inside out in cold water and dry on low heat. Following pressing and care instructions helps maintain color, adhesion, and overall durability through repeated washes.
